Paintings
I paint mainly in watercolor, but have also been known to play with egg tempera, acrylic, and other water based media.
Drawings
I am a bit playful with my choice of drawing tools. I enjoy using
charcoal, pencils, chalk, and lately have even enjoyed learning to build a method with ink and
markers. I am also very fond of quill ink pens for their flexible line qualities, and
starkness.
Portraits
I enjoy very much the opportunity to draw a portrait, a likeness, and
to interpret what I see in others. The wide variety of human emotion and personality, makes
interesting and endless study.

Illustration
Up to this point, my work has been less narrative, but that is one element that I am exploring. I am very interested in written and drawn stories. To be able to capture not only the frozen moment, but a whole story and action in a picture, is a great occupation. I want to capture not only what is seen, but what is felt, and perhaps not seen overtly.
